Hi, I’m Kennedy Sanchez (she/her)
I received my Masters in Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Substance Use and Addiction from Antioch University, Seattle in 2021.
I am an integrative trauma-informed, attachment based, relational Licensed Mental Health Therapist. My approach incorporates Attachment, Internalized Family Systems, Multicultural and Feminist theories. I utilize a relational, person-centered, collaborative approach with techniques from my basic training by EMDRIA (2021) in Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), advanced training (2022) by Dr. Laurel Parnell in Attachment Focused-Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing (AF-EMDR), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
I acknowledge the complex issue of systemic and economic marginalization and commit myself to providing anti-oppressive, anti-racist, intersectional therapy. I recognize the unearned privilege and advantages that are held within my identity as a white, cis-female gendered, first language-English speaker, US-born nationality, able-bodied, higher education level therapist.
I identify within queer, neurodivergent (ADHD), inflammation-gut-mind connected, agnostic communities. If deemed clinically-relevant towards your goals, I will incorporate my personal experience, but will not impose my beliefs onto you.
I endeavor to create a safe space for all individuals to explore and strive towards empowerment at their own pace.
